What did we do for FIG FEMME?
Creative Development
Fig Femme boldly brings women vulva-care products that weren’t available back in the day while empowering them to feel free to take up space and share their stories. In line with the brand’s mission, we conceptualised a series of documentaries portraying real women – original and tailored to Fig Femme’s audience. We wanted to hear about taboos, stretch marks, postpartum experiences, and self-esteem issues caused by out-of-date standards, giving a voice to these women audacious enough to subvert the status quo and *bare* it all. Echoing the substance, we envisioned the documentaries as beautiful, poetic, delicate, and wild while simultaneously capturing all the textures that a woman can be.

Production
The location, while a match made in creative content heaven for Fig Femme, posed the critical challenge of limiting visitors to at most 10 at a time. So, to make sure our shoot went smoothly, we carefully selected our team and ran a tight ship, including a creative director, cinematographer, producer, make-up artist + assistant, wardrobe, audio and lighting, and subjects (aka the women themselves).
What made this project so special is that we had the wild idea of documenting true stories from real women, and we fully managed to find the right women who were open to sharing their super, super personal stories and getting vulnerable with us about a topic that still can hold a lot of stigma.
The result? We quite literally transformed the client’s hope and words into a piece of art that is impactful at the same time.
